To provide the support services agreed upon in our Service Agreement (Contract). Because I provide care services, I process sensitive health information under the specific legal condition for the "provision of health or social care" (Article 9 of the UK GDPR).
To ensure safety: Meeting safeguarding duties and protecting your "vital interests" in an emergency.
To comply with the law: Keeping records required by HMRC, insurance, and health and safety regulations.

Organisations I am legally required to report to for safeguarding reasons

Paper Records: Kept in a locked filing cabinet when not in use
Retention: I will keep your care records for 7 years after our contract ends to satisfy insurance and tax requirements, then securely shred/delete them
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask for copies of your information, request corrections, or ask me to delete or restrict your data in certain circumstances. I will respond to any request within one month.
